43 different mandalas represent synthesis functions (Filters, Oscillators, Mixers, etc,). Through these forms the player can think in symbolic geometry rather than words (definite singular terms).

The author Leonard Shlain made an enlightening study of fixed term language and symbolic language in his important book The Alphabet Versus The Goddess.
